Brrrr!

Yesterday was a good day in the country. Boy was it cold overnight in the lower thirties/upper twenties. We have a small infrared space heater, so that helps. We’ve been showering in the house, because of our lack of hot water or a shower sprayer that works. Today we cleared out the path by the gate to the field, so we could use that instead of jumping the fence. We had to level the ground so the gate could open. We recruited Riley’s help in loosening up the dirt so we could flatten it. She was actually quite helpful.

We also started our mini-greenhouse. We took our old guinea pig (or rabbit) cage and dug it into the ground in the garden. We will cover it with clear plastic and use it to start seedlings for our garden. We are pretty excited about that. Toast is getting our curtains made today and I will try to get some pictures up soon. Oh the latch on the main door stopped working at bedtime, that was fun. We had to hold it shut with a board and climb in the passenger door. Hopefully Toast can fix that tonight. Stay tuned for more!
